Late Kutigi for Burial Wednesday, Says Son

The burial of the late Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Idris Legbo Kutigi will take place on Wednesday.

A text message sent to THISDAY by one of his sons and a former member of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Sani Kutigi, Tuesday morning said the burial would take place at Gudu Muslim burial ground in Bida, Niger State at about 5.00pm.

According to Sani Kutigi, the remains of the frontline jurist would arrive the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 5.00am on Wednesday.

He disclosed that from the airport, the remains would be taken to the National mosque at about 2.00pm for the Janaiza (Islamic rite) before being transported to Bida, the final resting place.

In the text message with the title ‘Burial arrangements for the late Hon. Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi (GCON) former CJN, Sani prayed Allah to “admit him into Aljana Firdausi”.
