Women Bankers Hold Annual Dinner

The Association of Professional Women Bankers (APWB) is set to host its annual corporate dinner on Friday 19th October, 2018 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island.

Aimed at providing a platform through which stakeholders in the banking industry can exchange ideas and proffer solutions to help boost the industry as well as the nation’s economic growth, the 2018 dinner has the theme: “Funding Infrastructural Development in an Emerging Economy.”

The keynote speaker for the Dinner is the MD/CEO, FBN Quest Merchant Bank, Mr Kayode Akinkugbe, while the guest speakers include the MD/CEO, The Infrastructure Bank, Mr Adekunle Oyinloye and Barrister Mercy Oluwatoyin Ojo.

“In addition to the insightful conversations, the dinner also provides a great networking opportunity to members and non-members who will have a chance to rub minds with other professionals in the banking industry.

“The APWB Annual Corporate Dinner is open to men and women with a keen interest in the banking industry and Princess Abiodun Elegushi Adebajo will be in attendance as the distinguished guest of honour,” a statement from the organisers explained.

The APWB is the Women Wing of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) whose existence is consistently marked by innovative and pace setting activities and programme with a wide range of objectives which include: to promote the image of women in the banking profession and to encourage women to seek executive and managerial positions.
