Akpatason, Loses as Ihonvbere,  Edo Speaker Others Clinches House of Reps Reschedule APC Primaries in Edo

The Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Kabiru Adjoto; Prof. Julius Ihonvbere and others yesterday clinched the House of Representatives tickets for Owan and Akoko-Edo federal constituencies on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Others who were successful in the rescheduled National Assembly and state assembly primaries included Senator Francis Alimikhena (Edo North senatorial district), Patrick Obahiagbon for Edo South while Ese Owie also won the Edo South senatorial ticket on the platform of Action Democratic Party (ADP).

Meanwhile, Pius Alile also emerged as the House of Representatives candidate for Egor/Ikpobha Okha federal constituency, just as Uyi Oriakhi clinched the state House of Assembly for Egor to fly the ticket of the ADP.

However, there was a reported incident in Ward-4 in Akoko-Edo where soldiers allegedly harassed some voters while they were waiting for the arrival of APC officials to conduct the primary election.
