Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team, D’Tigress on Wednesday afternoon emerged the first African side to win three matches in a row at the ongoing FIBA Women’s World Cup in Spain and also picked a quarter-final ticket.
The glory-seeking Nigerian Amazons defeated European women basketball power house Greece 57-56 to berth in the quarter final.
They now join the four group leaders and playoff qualifiers, Japan in Friday’s quarter finals.
