A governorship aspirant in Bauchi State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC)  Captain Bala Jibrin has alleged that the incumbent Governor Mohammed Abubakar had received the sum of over N500 billion  as state and local governments grants from the federal government in the last three years “without commensurate projects”.

Speaking at Misau Local Government Area (LGA) of the State while inaugurating his campaign office and vehicles in the area during the weekend , the ex-commissioner lamented that the present administration in the state had performed below expectation compared to what the previous governments were able to do in the state.

He condemned Abubakar for his alleged frequent travels abroad, decrying that the huge resources “that would have been invested in tangible projects” were being spent by the governor on such journeys.

“If given the mandate, I will not be globetrotting anyhow because I travelled to over 60 countries. I don’t have thirst for that now. Instead, I will remain in the state and focus on how to move the state forward,”    he assured.
