Eminem Breaks UK Chart Record

Rapper Eminem made history Friday when it broke the UK chart record for consecutive No 1 albums.

His album Kamikaze which was released last week is his ninth No 1 in a row. The album according to the Guardian UK is the fourth-fastest selling album this year in the UK, behind Arctic Monkeys, Drake and George Ezra, and outsold the No 2 album, the soundtrack to Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, by three copies to one.

Of all his albums since he came into mainstream consciousness, only his first album, The Slim Shady LP, didn’t reach No 1 spot.

The title was previously held jointly by the music band Abba and Led Zeppelin for 36 years.
