Former Unity Bank MD Emerges National Chairman of PRP

Former Managing Director of Unity Bank, Alhaji Falalu Bello, has emerged as the National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).

Bello was elected at the National Delegates Conference of the party which held at the weekend in Kaduna. 
He succeeded Alhaji Balarabe Musa, a former governor of Kaduna state, who announced his retirement from active politics last Friday during the conference. 
Musa was however  appointed as the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the party.
In a communique issued on Sunday in Kaduna, the party also named Babatunde Alli as its National Secretary. 

According to the communique, "the conference ratified the setting  up of a 19 member Board of Trustees and appointment of members with Alhaji Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa as Chairman and Mr. Richard Umaru as secretary of the board.
"Conference mandated the newly elected NEC to fill existing vacancies along the lines forwarded by its 54th meeting of August 31st, 2018.
Members  of the BoT, according to the communique, includes Prof. Ango Abdullahi (North West), Gen. Bashir Salihi Magashi rtd (North West), Hon. Lawan Tukur Batagarawa (North West), Alhaji Datti Malumfashi (North West), Hon. Mustafa Bello (North Central) and Mr. Setly Dadzie (North Central).
Others are  Ibrahim Usman (North East), Alhaji Ali Mala (North East), Prof. Philip Afanmuo (South East), Dr. Segun Falope (South West), Comrade Laoye Sanda (South West), and Brig-Gen. Odidi rtd (South South).

"Conference mandated NEC to confirm the remaining members representing the six geo-political zones to ensure each zone has a full complement of at least three members.
"Conference saluted Malam Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa for his steadfastness in keeping the PRP spirit alive despite all challenges over the years" the communique said. 
The communique was signed by the National Chairman,  Alhaji Falalu Bello, the National Secretary Babatunde Alli, and the Assistant National Publicity Secretary, Kabiru Muhammad Gwangwazo.
