Theresa May Visits Lagos

The British Prime Minister Theresa May Wednesday arrived the Presidential wing of the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos at about 4.20 pm amid tight security. May arrived the airport aboard Royal Air Force plane.

Security personnel deployed in strategic areas around the Presidential wing prevented airport reporters from gaining access to the wing.

The Presidential Lounge had been the operating base of aviation reporters for more than 20 years before the late National Security Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan, General Patrick Azazi, ordered their relocation citing “security reasons” in 2012 .

The major road linking the local wing of the airport to the international section was decorated with Nigeria and the British flags while security personnel were positioned at different locations.
