From George. Okoh in Makurdi
The National Coordinator of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Benue State chapter, Alhaji Garus Gololo, has called on Senate President Bukola Saraki to resign honorably as Senate President or he would be forcefully removed.
Gololo made the call while speaking with newsmen on Wednesday in Makurdi.
He noted that Saraki had created numerous problems for the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari that had affected the economic and social growth of the nation.
“It is on this note that we are saying that Saraki ought not to be in office again as Senate President, adding that Saraki has failed to coordinate and organise the National Assembly to offer quality legislations that Nigerians need.
“Nigerians are in dire need of people that would lead every arm of government with decency, understanding and positive mind and change the fortune of our nation for better.
“Miyetti Allah is looking for a leader that would preside over the affairs of the Senate with ultimate respect for the executive and the judiciary, not some one like senator Saraki that would always scheme to outdo the Presidency.
“We are now tired with Saraki style of leadership at the National Assembly, therefore, we are now warning him to honourably resign his position as president of the Senate or we will be compelled to forcefully remove him”, Gololo fumed.
Speaking about the comment by Governor Samuel Ortom accusing former Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav of being an agent of Miyetti Allah, the coordinator disclosed that Tsav was not a member of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association nor a Fulani man by tribe and cannot be an agent to Miyetti Allah.
He urged governor Ortom to face his problem with EFCC and leave Miyetti Allah alone.
