Invasion of National Assembly: 45 Parties Pay Solidarity Visit to Saraki

The Chairmen of 45 political parties on Thursday paid a solidarity visit to the Senate President over the Tuesday’s invasion of the National Assembly premises by security operatives.

Chairman of United Democratic Party, UDP, Chief Godwin Okoye, who spoke on behalf of all the 45 registered political parties, condemned the recent siege laid to the National Assembly by DSS operatives.
He said the parties also frown at unconstitutional means to change the leadership of the National Assembly.

“We won’t be part of any move being made to change the leadership of the National Assembly through the back door”, Okoye further said.
