The National Pepper Producers, Processors and Marketers Association of Nigeria has elected new members into its national executive committee.
The election was done in Abuja. Speaking at the event, the National President of the association, Mahmoud Mahmoud enjoined the National Working Committee as well as members of the association to work hand in hand to promote the sub-sector.
The election conducted by the Federation of Agricultural Commodity Association of Nigeria (FACAN) saw the emergence of Mahmoud as the National President and Shetima Hassan Ibrahim as National Deputy President with six other Vice President from the six geo-political zones of the country. The six vice presidents elected from the geo-political zones for the next four years included Muhammed Abba Liman, representing North-east; Hon. Okon Etim Okon-South-south, Musa Garba, North-west; Danjuma Sylvester Bunshak, North-central; Ofoegbu Raphel Chima, South-east; and Dapo Alli representing South-west.
Mr. Olivia Eriri is to serve as National Secretary, Samuel Okeboh as National Treasurer and Aliyu Musa as National Financial Secretary. Adah Halilu and Ahmed Umar Turaki will serve as National Organising Secretary and Assistant Organising Secretary respectively, while Iyefu Adoba will serve as the National Publicity Secretary with Howard Usen as the
National Assistant Publicity Secretary and Okafor Peace Chinwe as the National Legal Adviser of the association.
