According to the brands, the new products, which included a new Ice cream flavour called ‘Baby Cakes’ and ‘squad meal’ were perfect for the Nigerian environment as well as the new movie in that pizza is a family meal while the movie content revolves around family, hence the partnership.

Speaking during the launch which was well attended by major casts in the flick including Seyi Shay, Vector, Somkele and Chioma Akpotha, Marketing Manager of ColdStone Creamery, Bimpe Olanrewaju, noted that ColdStone Creamery Nigeria and Domino’s Pizza have transcended serving delicious ice cream and pizza, to becoming lifestyle brands.

“To this end, we are always on the lookout for opportunities such as this.  Lara and the beat is a perfect fit as it has key elements that resonate with our brand- lifestyle, fashion and music. The beautiful story of the movie inspired a new ice cream flavor, which is a delicious strawberry ice-cream layered with yellow cake and topped with a crunchy coconut shavings”.

Executive Producer of Lara and the Beat, Biola Alabi, lauded the brand’s commitment in boosting Nigeria’s image abroad in an effort to attract foreign investments to the country by partnering cultural projects.

She said: “This partnership should come as no surprise, the ColdStone brands were our partners on our first movie project, and they have distinguished themselves by creating unique, fun, family experiences for Nigerians. As soon as you walk into any of their stores, they make you feel warm and welcome, which is exactly how this film will make you feel. The movie is about family and friendship, so partnering these delightful brands only made sense for us to do.

“We are particularly excited about the mega projects in the country, especially Lagos; therefore, we want to use the movie as well as our partnership with the fast food brand to tell the true Lagos story.

Marketing Manager of Domino’s Pizza, Ilyas Kazeem added: “We are indeed excited about this partnership, which is why we are dedicating a new and special menu to the movie called ‘Squad Meal’”. This menu celebrates the importance of love, friendship and the joy of sharing. It consists of a Medium Pizza, Chicken Wings and our delicious Melted Choco Pocket dessert. The idea is to let viewers have a perfect feeling as they see the flick in the cinema and enjoy a sumptous meal  with it.”
