Former Supreme Court Judge, Aderemi Passes on

Former Supreme Court judge, Justice Pius Olayiwola Aderemi, has passed on.
Aderemi, also a one time chairmanship nominee of the Independent and Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) by President Goodluck Jonathan, passed on Monday, June 18 at a hospital in Ibadan after a brief illness.

According to a statement issued by his son, Olakunle Aderemi, Justice Aderemi until his death was a devoted Catholic, defender of the law and an exemplary and incorruptible jurist.

He was at a time, a member of the National Judicial Council (NJC), the highest judicial organ in the country, member of the Body of Benchers of Nigeria, and was a Papal Knight of St Gregory the Great.
He is survived by children and grandchildren.
Olakunle said his father’s burial arrangements would be announced by the family.
