Don’t Turn Ekiti Students to Thugs, APC Advises Fayose

The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti has condemned the alleged plan by the duo of Gov. Ayo Fayose and his deputy, Kolapo Eleka to convert students of tertiary institutions in the state to their thugs and sacrificial objects, in their desperation to exchange power between each other in the coming governorship election.

A release by the spokesperson of the party, Taiwo Olatunbosun said, APC learnt with dismay that Fayose and Eleka had instructed the authority of the State College of Education in Ekiti to suspend the ongoing examination till July 12, with intention to keep the students in school and convert them to their thugs during the July 14 governorship election.

Olatunbosun, who described the act as unfortunate, retrogressive and unnecessary, warned that the students must be allowed to conclude their exams before the election and go peacefully to their different homes; rather than being pencilled down as tools for the PDP devilish plans.

“Those students are neither thugs nor objects for rituals and should not be converted to one. They are precious children to their parents the same way Fayose and Eleka’s children are precious to them. They should be made to finish their exams and go home to their parents in peace.

“Eleka as an educationist, if he still is, should know better and advise his ignorant boss that unnecessary postponement of exams can have negative effects on both the psyche and future of a student.

“We call on all parents to speak with one voice against this mindless act of Fayose and Eleka. They are thinking of their ambition alone and not the future of the students.”

Olatunbosun said APC had uncovered alleged plans by the duo to use the blood of some young students as sacrifice to prosecute a lost political battle during the coming election.

“That is Fayose’s way, and that is why they have instructed the college management to unnecessarily suspend and shift the ongoing examination till July 12 so that the students could be used during election.

“The entire world must in unison condemn this act by the power mongers and hold them responsible for anything that happens to any of the students during the election, since they (the students) should have no reason to still be in school by then, except because Fayose and Eleka want them.”
