Ex-Osun Gov, Oyinlola, Bereaved 

Ex-governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has been dealt a heavy blow, following the passing on of his cousin, Kayode Adetayo Oyinlola, a top freight and forwarding agent. The multimillionaire businessman, who was Chairman of Customs Licensed Agents and President of Okota Country Club, was said to have died after a brief illness. A family source revealed that the late businessman would be buried in Okuku, Osun State next Saturday.

Kayode began his working career with the Nigerian Ports Authority in 1977, but left in 1981 to pursue additional academic qualifications. In 1985, he joined Associated Breweries Ltd and resigned in 1988 for a return to the Nigerian Ports Authority, Tin Can Island. Prince Oyinlola established his own clearing and forwarding outfit, Sakay & Co. Nigeria Limited in 1990 and became a customs licensed agent in 1993. Aside from clearing and forwarding business, his company also deals on importation of cars and lorries for its numerous customers.

The late Oyinlola, who was conferred with the honourary Doctorate in Business Administration, was Chairman, Governing Council in Africa of the Bradley University, Illinois, United States of America. In appreciation of his exemplary leadership, meritorious services and immense contributions to the growth and development of Okota Country Club, he was presented with a Distinguished Leadership Award by the Club at a valedictory event organised in his honour recently.
