The Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the National Association of Education Secretaries in Nigeria (NAESN), Asiwaju Majiyagbe, has called on Lagosians to work towards the re-election of Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode for a second term in office, stating that the administration has delivered on its electoral promises to the state.
Majiyagbe disclosed this Thursday in Lagos at the 2018 Interdenominational Prayer Service organised to raise support for the governor for his second term, tagged: ‘Ambode Mandate Support Group.’

He stated that the event is a fulfillment of his post-election speech where NAESN agreed that the endorsement and re-election of Ambode must be top on their priority, while commending members who supported the initiative.
“I am happy that all our members supported this initiative strongly with dedication and adequate funding. This can be confirmed by what we saw today.”

NAESN chair explained that the governor has performed very well and delivered on his promises to Lagosians, adding that his track record in building infrastructural projects in the state has made opposing parties to become jittery with persistent phobic tendencies.

Majiyagbe lauded Ambode for prompt payment of salaries to workers, noting that he has also built infrastructural facilities in schools which he noted served as a motivation, “the caring attitude and reward of excellence in service encourage us to work harder and ensure quality service delivery.”

He further noted that the gathering of the organisation to receive support for the governor is symbolic, stating that it exemplifies their commitment and loyalty to help the governor renew his mandate.

According to him, “I am therefore appealing to the Ambode Mandate Support to accommodate us fully to assist them in managing the special groups that include parents, SBMC, food vendors because some of them belong to different political parties while the majority of them were not politicians. This will go a long way in achieving Ambo 2019 with ease.”
