She stated that the teenager, who is a student of Sultan Abdulrahman School of Health Technology, Sokoto, allegedly suffocated the baby boy shortly after delivery four days ago.

accosted by neighbours, who alerted the school authorities.

“In fact, it was the school authorities that informed the police about the incident and she was arrested,”she said.

She further said the suspect would soon be charged to court for prosecution.

The PPRO disclosed that the police also arrested a suspected car thief Nnamdi Nwafor, who specialised in stealing cars at mosques and church premises in the state.

According to her, the suspect stole a Mercedes Benz car at a Catholic
Church in Sokoto metropolis when the owner went for thanks giving.

Nwawe explained that through intelligence report, the police arrested
the suspect in Zaria and also recovered the vehicle.
