Installation of Enyimba Stadium Pitch Begins

The contractor handling Enyimba Stadium, Monimichelle has started the final phase of the job at the arena with the installation of the pitch.

The CEO of Monimichelle, Ebi Egbe, confirmed yesterday that his Nigerian workers have started the installation job, while the expatriates would fly into the country this weekend from Italy.

“As we speak, we have moved to site to start installation of the geo-tech pitch. We have cleared the consignment from Onne Port and ready to get the job completed,” Ebi Egbe said.

He said it is his desire is to see Enyimba return to their fortress when the CAF Confederations Cup resumes after the World Cup.

Enyimba would on July 17, two days after the World Cup final host Ivorian side Williamsville FC in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Egbe commended Abia State government for its commitment to see the project realised.

“Gov Ikpeazu is keen to see Enyimba back home and we would on our part do our best to see that the job is completed in a matter of weeks,” Egbe said.

Monimichelle has been getting accolades over the job it did at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
