Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool may have come and gone with its excitement and controversies as football fans across the globe engaged in various expressions of support for their teams.
However, the football community fans on Twitter were not left out of the excitement as African Pillar of Sports and former Governor of Abia State Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, engaged his twitter followers in a live interactive tweet chat session tagged #ChampionsLeagueWithOUK via his official Twitter account @OUKtweets.
The social media football event was the first ever concept initiated by Dr. Orji Kalu and was put together by his Media Assistant Mr. Kenneth Udeh which involved Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu personally interacting and chatting with football fans throughout the 90 encounter with live pictures and videos.
One of the highpoints of the tweet chat was the controversial injury which saw Mohamed Salah forced out of the match due to the Sergio Ramos tackle this left fans deliberating on Twitter if it was intentional, while some others were of the opinion that Salah was an inexperienced and fringe player.
The tweet chat event ended with Real Madrid emerging champions and Dr. Kalu congratulated them in his last tweet message which read: “And it’s a wrap. We have a winner, its Real Madrid. Congratulations to them. Liverpool also did their best coming this far.â€
Dr. Kalu also highlighted the goal keeping errors by Liverpool goalkeeper Lois Karius as one of the reasons for Liverpool’s loss.
