Chike Nwagbogu, Duro Ikujenyo Celebrate Africa Day

Africa Day is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the Organisation of African Unity on May 25, 1963. It is celebrated in various countries on the African continent, as well as around the world.

In Nigeria,  the Africa Unity Movement championed by art promoter, Chike Nwagbogu, and musician, Duro Ikujenyo, have announced a programme to celebrate Africa Day, onFriday, May 25 at the Bogobiri House at  Maitama Sule Street, Ikoyi-Lagos with public lecture titled: Denial of Fundamental Human Right and Insecurity.

      There will also be a film show, music, solidarity messages from different associations and support for a young singer, Sybil Taiwo Sparkle, who was brutalised by the Nigerian police and unlawfully detained on March 29. Her case comes up on May 25 at the Magistrate Court in Lagos.
