Bauchi State Governor Abdullahi Abubakar Wednesday accepted the resignation of his deputy  Nuhu Gidado and wished him well in his future endeavours.

Abubakar described Gidado’s tenure and service to the state  as meritorious and worthy of commendation.

According to a press release by the Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Ali. M Ali, the governor particularly commended Gidado for the remarkable manner of his resignation.

He expressed optimism that Gidado would make his vast wealth of experience available to the state anytime he’s called upon in the future.

“We  received the resignation of our Deputy Governor, Engr. Nuhu Gidado. On behalf of the people of Bauchi state, I want to thank him for his meritorious service while in office.”

“He remains vital to our administration and party. I wish him well in his future endeavours, and he can count on me for support. I am also optimistic he will avail the state his service when called upon in the future,”   Governor Abubakar said in the statement released by his media aide.

Gidado tendered his resignation on Wednesday citing “dampened spirit and waning zeal” as it relates to his official engagements.

While thanking the governor and the people of the state for the privilege to serve, Gidado said he would have remained to the end of his tenure but his continued stay will not be fair and truthful to the governor.
