FCT Minister, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello has commissioned Fraser Suites, a Five-Star Hotel, located in Abuja’s Central Business District.

Bello, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari, described the opening of the hotel as a reflection of investors’ confidence in the FCT, which is growing at nine per cent yearly and is among the fastest growing cities in the world.

He lauded the Royal Pacific Group, the Hotel owners, for their demonstrated faith in Abuja.

The minister said Nigeria felt indeed gratified to be the first country in Africa to host the prestigious Fraser Suites.

According to him, the Administration, in keeping faith with its pledge to prospective investors, extended infrastructure and sewer lines to the hotel area as soon as the owners expressed interest to commence development.

Sited few meters from the Abuja Metro Train Station, Bello underscored Fraser Suites’ unique position and expressed optimism that the Abuja Light Rail would be of great service to prospective clients of the hotel, who choose the option of travelling by rail from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

“The hotel is a major addition to the Abuja skyline. It has heightened estate development around the layout, improved land value and very importantly created jobs. It would also boost tourism as well as tax revenue to the FCT Administration,” Bello said.

While welcoming the guests, the CEO, Middle East and Africa, Fraser Suites, Guus Bakker, said the property was conceived with the lifestyle preferences of today’s discerning travellers in mind to offer intuitive services and to deliver memorable services to its guests.

He praised the beauty of Abuja and the dynamism of Nigerians whom he described as hospitable, resilient and  a very special breed of people.

Also speaking at the occasion, the Chairman, Royal Pacific Group, Dr. Attia Nasreddin, said the mission of the Group was to deliver world class services to its clients.

He said that the Group was dedicated to the growth and development of the African Continent and driven to transform lives of the host communities in the emerging markets for generations to come.

With the Abuja outfit, Fraser Suites, which started in Singapore in 1998, now boasts of over 150 properties in about 40 countries, with the Abuja facility being the first of its kind in Africa.
