18 Eagles in Camp for Atletico Madrid Clash

There is now a full house at the training camp of the Super Eagles ‘B’ to face UEFA Europa League winners Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night in Uyo after most of the foreign call-ups joined up yesterday

Ibrahim Alhassan ‘Muazzam’ (Austria Wien/Austria), Musa Mohammed (Lokomotiv Plodiv/Bulgaria), Usman Mohammed (Sarpsborg/Norway), Chidiebere Nwakali (Aberdeen/Scotland) all reported to the team’s Bolton White Hotel in Abuja.

“By the last count, we had at least 18 players in camp,” a team official informed SCORENigeria

Yesterday Kelechi Nwakali was the only foreign-based invitee in the training camp.

However, the NFF has formally asked the club of Sadiq Umar to release him for the international friendly, while Norwegian club Lillestrom stopped Ifeanyi Matthew from the game, saying it is not within the FIFA friendly window.

Turkey-based striker Emem Eduok was expected to arrive camp last night.

The team under coach Salisu Yusuf had a full training session at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja. The team is expected to fly into Uyo this morning.
