The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Bauchi State is to embark on massive sensitisation campaign on preservation and protection of public infrastructure.
The state Director of the Agency, Alhaji Nuru Yusuf Kobi, dropped this hint Thursday when he led the management of the agency on a familiarisation visit to a private media outfit, Albarka Radio.
Kobi said the sensitisation would reduce the vandalism of public properties by some unpatriotic citizens.
According to him, currently the agency has embarked on security and sensitisation campaign to contribute towards addressing some of the challenges facing the society.
The NOA Director said the agency deems it necessary to partner with the radio station for the effective discharge of its responsibilities.
Kobi said he hoped that the partnership between the two bodies would provide a lasting solution to the challenges undermining the development of the country.
Responding, the General Manager, Albarka Radio, Alhaji Musa Waziri Hardawa, who described the agency as a strong partner in the development of the country, assured NOA of the station’s readiness to support the agency.
Represented by the Director, News of the station, Alhaji Muhammad Ibrahim, the general manager remarked that the importance of protecting public infrastructure to societal development cannot be over emphasised, hence the need for the people to imbibe the culture of protecting them.
