As part of efforts at ensuring security of lives and property in Kwara State, the state House of Assembly is set  to conduct security summit in the state.
Okedare, who presided over plenary, disclosed that the Speaker, Dr. Ali Ahmad, had concluded arrangement to hold the security summit next week to complement the efforts of the police and other stakeholders in ensuring the protection of lives and property in the state.
Earlier, Fagbemi had while raising a matter of general public importance, praised the state traditional council, the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, Governor Abdul Fatah Ahmed, Senator Rafiu Ibrahim and other notable Nigerians for commiserating with the Olofa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Esuwoye, and the entire people of Offa over the incidence.
Meanwhile, the House has mandated its Committee on Energy, Works and Transport to invite all relevant stakeholders and investigate the non construction of Adena bridge linking Kaiama Local Government and Jebba in Moro Local Government Area, in spite of the release of N7.9 million by the state government to the state Road Maintenance Agency.
This followed a matter of general public importance raised by the member representing Gwanabe/Gweria/Bani/Adena Constituency, Hon. Baziki Suleiman, on the collapsed bridge
The House under the leadership of the Speaker, Dr Ali Ahmad, had passed both private member and executive bills into law aimed at tackling security challenges bedevilling the State.
Some of the bills include the ban on sales of human parts, amendment on cultism law, ban on manufacturing, sales and consumption of alcohol in Ilorin metropolis.
