Stern looking policemen and men of the Department of State Security, numbering 1,000 have taken over Oluyemi Kayode stadium in Ado Ekiti.

Vehicles coming from adjoining roads to the stadium have been diverted towards Fajuyi side , which constitutes serious confusion for road users.

This was as the Governor of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Tanko Almakura, who is to lead the committee that will conduct the election, had asked the Chief Jide Awe-led State Working Committee to step aside.

As we speak now, accreditation of the 2, 616 delegates have begun and policemen and DSS were frisking those entering the venue, even to the pant.

According to the guidelines set by the committee, the aspirants can only enter into the venue with only two supporters each.

Delegates were also told not to go to the voting point with camera phones based on information that some aspirants had instructed them to take shot of whom they voted for pecuniary gains.

There could be possibility for crisis saturday at the event due to widespread allegation that some money-wielding aspirants had camped the delegates outside the state.

Postings by some of the aspirants on their facebooks suggested that they were poised for war.
