Brothers at War over Oyo Governorship  Ambition

Brothers at war!  This may read like a familiar Nollywood movie title.
But the sad development  currently playing out between two brothers in Oyo State aptly fits into this description.
Or how better can one describe the smouldering war between Kola Karim, an oil mogul, and his brother, Ayodeji Karim?
Spy Glass gathered that the ugly incident, which may destroy the family ties of the Karims, is not unconnected with the governorship  ambitions of the feuding duo.
A source close to the family disclosed that both had allegedly refused to see eye-to-eye over what they termed ‘ betrayal of trust’.
Ayodeji, who sits atop Costain West Africa, is a close confidant of his brother, Kola, the  brains behind Shoreline Natural Resources.
It was gathered that when Kola thought of contesting for the number one job of Oyo State in 2019, he allegedly shared his ambition with his brother, Ayodeju.
Sources claimed that Kola might have made a grave error,  in view of the current developments.
It was also said that both had reportedly  reached an accord to work together to help him (Kola) actualise the dream for the family.
Our source gathered that this was not to be as Ayodeji , for the first time, betrayed his brother. He was said to have  quickly gone ahead to officially declare his ambition last December.
‘’The billionaire oil mogul is  not taking this lightly at all. He sees this as the height of  treachery and has vowed to deal with him appropriately,’’ our source revealed.
Ayodeji, the businessman-turned-politician had his primary and secondary education in Nigeria before proceeding to South Thames College in London, United Kingdom,   where he obtained a National Diploma in Electro/Mechanical Sciences. He secured a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering and Engineering Design/Manufacturing from the University of Wales, UK. He also  had extensive training in the military from the British Army, heads thriving businesses like Fortis Construction and Costain (West Africa) Plc,  among others.
Kola , a  young African business mogul, is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Shoreline Energy International Nigeria, a conglomerate with interests that span oil and gas, power generation, engineering, commodities trading, infrastructure and construction across sub-Saharan Africa.
