Leadway Assurance Organises Training for Journalists

The second edition of Leadway Assurance training for journalists has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, 2018.

The initiative, which maiden edition was held last year serves as a capacity building initiative organised by the company to empower journalists in the discharge of their duties.
It is targeted at equipping them with the requisite knowledge they required in their day to day reporting.

Announcing this, Leadway Assurance Head of Corporate Communications/Services, Olubunmi Adeleye, said this edition of the capacity development initiative among journalists would focus on the key areas of financial reporting in insurance, understanding life annuity, micro insurance business among others.

She said her company takes note of important role journalists play in raising the level of insurance awareness and how it works, hence, the need to continuously equip them with such capacity building initiatives.

She said, the training, meant for journalists reporting Insurance and pension sectors would further enlighten them on the inner workings and technicalities of the insurance sector, keeping them abreast of the latest industry trends both locally and globally.”

The initiative, which is scheduled to hold at the Leadway Assurance Training School on Wednesday, February28, 2018 will have in attendance over 40 journalists culled from the Insurance and Pensions news sector.
The maiden edition of the training was organised in October, 2017.
