Renowned motivational speaker and expert in leadership training, 46-year-old Olufela Durotoye, has formerly joined the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) and expressed his readiness to join the 2019 presidential race.

Durotoye made his intention to join the presidential race public yesterday during a chat with journalists at 13 Okanlawon Street, and also noted that he opted for the ANN because it guarantees level playing ground for all aspirants without the influence of godfathers.

“I am aspiring to contest as a presidential candidate in the 2019 general election. People have asked me on what party platform will I be running on? One party has resonated more with me than any other. We share common ideology. That party is ANN.”

According to him, the ANN will provide a level playing field for the best candidate to emerge at all levels of legislature and executive levels.

Promising that he would gather the best hands across board to reengineer the Nigerian economy for greater productivity that will guarantee employment for youths, Durotoye said he would retain the values for which he is known for despite venturing into politics.

He expressed confidence that over the 40 million voters who registered but never voted in the 2015 election and over million who did not register at all because of lack of confidence in the APC and the PDP will give him needed support to win, irrespective of tribe or religion.
