Emeka Ogbugh Excited to Open 2018 NPFL Account

Rivers United forward, Emeka Ogbugh has said he is delighted to open his new season campaign for Rivers United with a goal and he instantly dedicated it to God during Sunday’s NPFL Match day 9 clash against Niger Tornadoes in Port Harcourt.

Ogbugh made his season debut for Rivers United Sunday against Niger Tornadoes after helping the home-based Super Eagles reach in final of the recently concluded CHAN in Morocco.
He scored on the dot of 28 minutes, firing home a free kick from outside the area.

The goal doubled the hone side’s advantage after Euro returnee, Osita Chikere had opened scoring on 16 minutes.
“I’m delighted to score. I rejoined the team few days ago and scoring in this game makes me feel happy, more so when it helped us win the game”, Ogbugh told Scorenigeria.com.ng
“I dedicate the goal to God.

“I must say, it is one of the tricks I took from the CHAN which I gained from coach Salisu Yusuf.
“I hope to keep working hard and see where we go from there”.

Rivers United were immaculately impressive in the game, bossing their visitors all through the first half during which goals from Osita Chikere and Ogbugh separated the two sides.

Ochewechi Salefu’s strike of extraordinary force and speed hit the head of a Niger Tornadoes defender with the incident highlighting the second period in which Tornadoes came back into life.
