CHAN Stars Boost Rivers Utd ahead Clash with Tornadoes

NPFL… NPFL… NPFL…

Ahead of Sunday’s visit of Niger Tornadoes, Rivers United will be boosted by the return of the duo of Emeka Ogbugh and Emeka Atuloma from International duty with the Super Eagles.

Both players were with the Salisu Yusuf led Eagles that competed at the just concluded Championship for African Nations (CHAN), in Morocco, where the Eagles claimed silver medal after losing to the hosts.
Ogbugh resumed training on Tuesday, while Atuloma was part of Wednesday’s training.

“I am back in training and preparing for Sunday’s match against Tornadoes. It is good to mix with the new players,” he stated.

Speaking on what to expect from him this term, Ogbugh said: “I am more experienced now. Working under Coach Salisu Yusuf has been a great privilege and the exposure I got playing at the CHAN too,” he noted.

Ogbugh’s presence will help the attack which has scored only five goals in eight matches.
Both players are set to make Stanley Eguma’s match day squad against the Minna side, Niger Tornadoes, on Sunday
