If there is anyone who is almost as powerful as the number one citizen of Ogun State today, it is no other than Alhaji Abidoye Ajani Amosun, elder brother of Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
His influence and connection grew as soon as his brother won his second term governorship bid in 2015.
Famously called Alhaji Agba, he is said to be a mediator between the governor and those seeking favour from him.
Consequently, his Abeokuta, home has become a Mecca of sorts.
Information revealed that he move around with aides and security details.
“His 70th birthday was a great testimony of his influence in the state, as many trooped out to pay him homage for his birthday penultimate weeks. They didn’t come empty-handed. They came with loads of gifts. This is a man who was relatively unknown few years ago,’’ our source disclosed.
The source further hinted that he had moved out of his former house on the outskirts of Abeokuta to a new architectural masterpiece built for him by his brother. The mansion, it was learnt, is just a replica of the governor’s own and was constructed by the same contractors.
