Institute to Launch Project OSEESE February 1

The Opeyemi Agbaje Institute has announced the maiden edition of its pet project, Ogun State Economic Enablement and Social Emancipation (OSEESE), a six-month activity designed to produce a policy template for good governance, development and socio-economic transformation of the state.

In a statement sent to THISDAY and signed by its Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Opeyemi Olukayode Agbaje, said the institute is driven by the conviction that it needs to focus national conversation not just on politics but policy and development.

The statement read in part: ”This institute was incorporated in 2014 with a vision to serve as a catalyst for transformation of policy, governance and development in Nigeria, Africa and the Diaspora.

“This initiative is underpinned by our vision 2035 which envisages Ogun State as a developed, first world region with human capital, quality of life, infrastructure, economic development institutions and governance standards comparable to leading regions in developed countries.

“A citizen engagement and survey project which we christen ‘Kilo J Ogun Logun’ is a critical component of project OSEESE and its purpose is to engage with, and obtain the input and buy-in of citizens and residents of Ogun State based on a philosophy of shared governance.”

The institute promised to share the outcome of the initiative with relevant stakeholders interested in the progress of the state.
