Amuka, Vanguard Publisher Lauds Lagos CP Femi Ogbonnikan

In appreciation of his rare feat in curtailing rising violent crimes in the state in recent times, the publisher of Vanguard Newspapers, Mr. Sam Amuka, has commended the Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Edgal Imohimi, since his assumption of office six months ago.

Amuka, who was on a courtesy visit to the CP at the command headquarters in Ikeja yesterday, stated that Imohimi has demonstrated exceptional ability at bringing violent crimes to the barest minimum in the state.

“My visit here today is to show you my love, respect and recognition. Since your assumption of office late last year, every Lagosian can attest to your outstanding performance which has brought to bear a sharp decline in violent crimes in the state.

“Your work speaks for you and Lagosians appreciate you. So, I am one of your admirers,” the Vanguard publisher said.
In his remarks, Imohimi expressed delight on the visit, and said he was highly honoured to receive the publisher of Vanguard Newspapers in his office, stressing that his constructive criticism, counsel and advice would be judiciously put to use in order to improve where necessary in policing Lagos.

“I am happy to say that you have good things to say about our activities in Lagos State in enthroning peace and sanity. And these efforts have made lives bearable for all of us in the state. Thank you for acknowledging our efforts.
“We are open to criticisms, counsel and advice that are genuine, and we are ready to make use of them,” the CP said.
