Groups of individuals have intensified calls for former Bauchi State Governor, Mallam Isah Yuguda, to re-contest for the seat of the Bauchi South senatorial district on the platform of the Green Party of Nigeria ( GPN).
One of the groups, Dangarba Volunteer Group, wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the state party secretariat to express it support for the former governor to heed the calls by groups and individuals to contest for the Senate seat.
Yuguda had earlier contested for the Bauchi South senatorial seat in 2015 after his eight year tenure as the Bauchi State governor.
He however lost to Senator Ali Wakili of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to him, members of the group have embarked on a massive campaign to canvass support for the governor in every nook and cranny of the seven local government areas of Bauchi South senatorial district.
In his welcome address, the state Chairman of the party, Alhaji Sani Mohammed Bura, commended the group for their support to the former governor and their call for him to serve his people.
He assured them that members of the party would work towards convincing Yuguda to contest for the Bauchi South senatorial seat.
Highlight of the visit was the donation of a car by a member of the group to help in logistics to canvass support for the former governor.
