Seaman’s Schnapps, the No. 1 prayer drink engaged revered traditional rulers in praying sessions for the peace, progress and prosperity of the land at different ceremonies held at the palace of Alaafin of Oyo, Ataoja of Osogbo and Deji of Akure, recently.
The unprecedented initiative tagged as ‘Share the Blessing’ signaled an enduring legacy, as Seaman’s Schnapps declares to Nigerians a harvest of enduring blessing and a re-birth of praying culture across socio-cultural groups in the country. These series of events took place at these palaces with prayers offered on peace, progress and prosperity.
In his address during one of the ceremonies, Managing Director, Grand Oak Limited, Aare Fatai Odesile stated that this “Share the Blessing Campaign is designed to deliver royal blessing from traditional rulers from various ethnic groups to their respective subjects and the entire Nigerian populace at large.”
He disclosed that the campaign entails series of cultural and traditional engagements at palaces of revered monarchs across the nation, and these are only few of many to come. This, he said, validates the Seaman’s Schnapps status as the Iconic Cultural and Prayer drinks in Nigeria and beyond. He enjoined Nigerians to shower blessings for lasting peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.”
With the high chiefs and other dignitaries in attendance, a paramount ruler, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III commended Seaman’s Schnapps on the “Share the Blessing” initiative and acknowledged the long relationship between the brand and the Oyo kingdom.
The Imperial majesty further noted that “prayer rites and libation are performed as one of the humanly duties, as demanded by our ancestors”. This, he said, was very symbolic, and he offered prayers for continual peace of the Oyo kingdom, and progress of the nation at large.
In the same vein, the paramount ruler of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, Larooye II, stated that “Seaman’s Schnapps is renowned for the key role it plays in our culture and usage in performing our traditional rites”. He claimed that Seaman’s Schnapps brought to the fore a lasting legacy that will remembered in history. He poured libation to the Osun goddess using Seaman’s and prayed for the peace of the land.
The event was also held at the palace of Deji of Akure, as the revered monarch hosted the Seaman’s team. At the event, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Adelusi, Odundun II offered prayers on the wellbeing of his people and prosperity of the land. He also praised the company for this idea and continued effort to promoting the traditions of the land.
