CleanAce Drycleaners, foremost dry-cleaning company in Nigeria with international dry-cleaning experience dating back three generations recently added another feather to its cap with the launch of the first ever dry cleaning academy in Nigeria, CleanAce School of Drycleaning.

CleanAce School of Drycleaning Academy offers the best education in dry cleaning for both freshers and the experienced alike. It is targeted toward ensuring the acquisition of needed skills and professional standards in the drycleaning and laundry industry.

The vision of the CleanAce Academy, according to its founder, Eni Ibukun Adebayo, is “to be the re-engineering and re-defining factor in making quality fabricare affordable to all.”
Speaking just before its official launch in Lagos recently, Adebayo said, the mission was to establish a self-sustaining organisation, pioneering the promotion of international best practice in dry cleaning, laundry operations and allied services in Nigeria.

The CleanAce School of Drycleaning is offering courses that will train its students in the art of becoming specialist drycleaning technicians. The school will offer highly interactive and practical courses, where students will be exposed to professional standard practices, in-service practical classes in Customer Service, the Fundamentals of Drycleaning and Laundry, Quality Finishing and pressing, Inspection and Quality Control, Packaging and others at the CleanAce Head Office located on Ikorodu Road, Maryland, Lagos, where the training centre is located.

The school, Adebayo said has designed an enriching training programme that is targeted at building capacities of customer service staff in the drycleaning business, drycleaners, launderers, ironers, quality controllers.

“The kind of training we will be giving to them will be based on practical. We would show them different types of materials and how to take care of them. We want to also tell Nigerians that they should produce cloth with care label, because there are institutes that check those materials abroad. A lot of people bring cloth to for drycleaning and that cause problem, so we are working on insurance policy that is going to help. The academy will stand to regulate all these things to make sure things are done in proper way. The academy is coming up to support the sectors of the tailors, vendors and the manufacturers and so all,”,he noted further.
