Ferscoat Schools Donates Balls for Lagos Inter School Cup

Organisers of the ongoing Lagos inter school cup, Wonderland sports has commended Ferscoat Schools OludeIpaja, Lagos for donating 20 match balls to be used for the competition.

Coordinator of the event, TayoAdeyemo stated this during a courtesy visit to the school. He expressed gratitude to the school proprietor, Pastor Felix Opata for identifying with Nigerian youths through sports.

Speaking at the event, Opata said the gesture was part of the school 25th Year anniversary, “we have always identified with programme that will improve Nigeria as a country and we understand the power of sports to help in discovering talents for the nation.

“We are passionate on nation building which makes Ferscoat schools unique and sports is one area we feel we can tap in to give our children the desired support.”

Meanwhile, 2016 finalist Cedar College are through to the round of 16 after a 2-1 win over Phidel College Idimu in Group E. There was a big upset as Ajibay College proved bookmakers wrong by beating title favourites Murtala Muhammed Airport School Ikeja, two nill in Group A, while Effortswill School Ejigbo were stunned two nill by High Cue College Isolo in front of their vociferous fans.

In Tuesday’s round of 16 fixtures billed for Cedar College, Dee Unique College Abesan Estate will face Arisonia School Egbeda

Defending champion Towergate Academy Ipaja will battle Primefocus Bengee College Agege takes on Ajibay College while Amplifier College of Agege entertains Faith Heritage. Elsewhere, Elibel College will meet Cedar College,Taqwa School Ifako will face High Cue of Isolo.
