Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has described the death of the septuagenarian royal father of Ipetumodu in Ife North Local Government Area of the state, Oba James Adedokun Adegoke, as a huge loss to the government and people of Osun State. Omisore stated this yesterday in a release by the secretariat of Iyiola Omisore Organisation in Osogbo.

Omisore said in the statement, “Oba Adedokun Adegoke was a peace loving father. He did a lot to promote peace and unity among various kingdoms in the state. He was a courageous, honest and benevolent leader; a father to all while alive.

“I commiserate with his family, the Ipetumodu in Council, the sons and daughters of Ipetumodu and Osun State, in general. May the good Lord grant us the fortitude to bear his loss.”

The late royal father was the 26th Apetumodu. He succeeded Oba Olaolu Ayoola who died in 1986.
