Kanu Nwankwo Offers Youth Corp Members 80% Off Photography Training Tuition

African football legend, Kanu Nwankwo, is again giving back to the society, this time through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme, by offering to pay 80 per cent of the tuition for Professional Photography training of corps members.

Announcing the gesture at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos recently, Manager of Papilo Studio, Mr. David Aina, said the football legend, who owns the state-of-the-art photo studio, which includes a School of Photography, was interested in helping graduates currently serving the nation in the mandatory one-year NYSC scheme to become entrepreneurs.

“Mr. Kanu Nwankwo has offered to pay for each corps member 80 per cent of what regular students pay as tuition fee for professional photography training, while they make a convenient 20 per cent payment, and eventually become professionals and entrepreneurs in the area photography,” Aina said.

He said the former captain of the Nigerian football team was always looking for every possible way to give back to the society, and had decided to help young graduates participating in the NYSC programme to develop their photography skills through training.

He added that the ultimate goal of Kanu was to help them become self-reliant by developing skills that would prepare them for a new phase of their lives.
Aina said the football legend hopes that youth corps members would take advantage of the offer and prepare themselves with the necessary skills to exit the class of job-seekers.
