Kreston International Harps on Adherence to Standards

Kreston International, a global network of independent account firms, has stressed the need for businesses to ensure that they adhere to laid down standards at all time.

The Managing Partner, KrestonJamesCowper, UK, Mr. Robert Holland, who was in Lagos to visit the Nigerian operation of the group – KrestonOUC, said this.

He said he was in Lagos to review the operation of the Nigerian unit, saying that the Kreston Group places a lot of emphases on adherence to accounting standards.

He explained that the visit was also to assist its Nigerian operations, headed by Mr. Andrew Uvaise, the Managing Partner of KrestonOUC, with the latest tools and techniques which would help its Nigerian arm compete effectively.

Similarly, the Managing Partner of the Nigerian operation, Andrew Uvaise said that the visit further created confidence in its international partners.

Uvaise also said the visit of the team would ensure minimum standards are applied in all their dealings, adding that laid down rules and regulations are always followed in discharge of its duties.

“Kreston International is a member of the forum of Firms, these firms conduct, or has an interest in conducting transactional audits and promoting the consistent application of high quality audit practice and standards worldwide”. he added.

The review, according to Uvaise is carried out every three years globally, saying that apart from its operation in Nigeria, Kreston also has presence in Ghana, South Africa, Cameroun, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Senegal, Sudan, Togo, Morocco, and 15 other African counties
