Dokpesi: I Am Ready for Debate

The National Chairmanship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Raymond Dokpesi on Tuesday expressed his readiness for debate among aspirants if organised.

Dokpesi spoke in Akure the Ondo State capital while addressing journalists after meeting with Ondo State delegates to the planned national convention of the party scheduled for December 9, 2017.

The Chairman of Daar Communications said however that the debate being clamoured for by some people would not do the party any good.
“I had been financing and organising debates towards election since 1999, but the one being clamoured for towards the national convention of the party rather than bringing out the best, would only cause more problems for the party.

“If the debate is organised, it will look as if the party is going to war and that will create more problems,” he said.
Dokpesi said delegates know the capacity of all aspirants and choosing and with the quality of the delegates, choosing the National Chairman would not be a problem.
The aspirant said he had history on his side when it comes to his relationship with the people of the South-west.
