Watson Uzochukwu Emerges Winner of Mr. Nigeria International Top Model 2017

Watson Uzochukwu has emerged the winner of Mr. Nigeria International Top Model 2017. The event Mr. and Miss Nigeria International was organised by Brendance and Crusaders. Brendance and Crusaders runs the beauty pageant, which has produced top-class winners in the past six years.

This year’s pageant, which produced Uzochukwu as the winner, was held on October 7 at Ruby Gardens in Lekki Peninsula 2, Lagos.

Uzochukwu had emerged winner from among 93 other contestants from different parts of the country and from all walks of life. Born in Enugu, he had grown up in Lagos and had been a professional model as well as an entrepreneur. Among the outfits he had modelled for was Morafa and a few others.

Uzochukwu’s academic laurels were burnished by proficiency courses he obtained in human/customer services management from the prestigious Lagos Business School/Pan Atlantic University.

Asked where is he from, Uzochochukwu simply answered that he is first and foremost a Nigerian. Pressed further, he disclosed that he hails from Ikeduru-Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.

The road to this victory, according to the current Mr. Nigeria International Top Model, was really tough. “I had no backing, and it was a last-minute decision on my part to go into it not knowing what the outcome will be,” he said. “It was sheer determination alongside those who rallied around me during the latter stage and God’s grace that saw me through into the final.”

“I was myself throughout the duration of the competition,” he added. Being himself implied both his style and character. “This is my first major competition on any plate form since my carrier. I am happy I came out a winner.”
With his victory, Uzochukwu automatically qualifies to represent Nigeria at the world stage at the Mr. Universe 2018.

“The project I intend to undertake is still being developed and when it’s done, it would be put in the open,” he continued. “I don’t want to spill the beans yet. I give glory to the Most High and as well as appreciate Brendance and Crusader, who are the organisers of Mr. and Miss Nigeria International pageant for giving me ‘The Voice’ which is the theme for this year’s pageant and the opportunity to be able to give back to my society and the world at large. I won’t fail to mention my family, loved ones and acquaintances for their support in the journey so far.”
