Igbiti promises more collaboration with the tennis session
Games captain, Mustapha craves for bigger sponsorship
The AIICO Insurance Tennis Championship taking place at the tennis session of the Ikoyi Club 38 comes to a close today after three days of scintillating tennis.
The four-day tournament which kicked off in style with about 50 participants vying for honours is strictly for members of Ikoyi Club 1938 Tennis Section.
Players of varying categories were divided into the Red and Blue groups, with each group comprising of four teams of six players with team names representing AIICO Insurance product brands.
Speaking at a press briefing to herald the competition, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AIICO Insurance Plc., Mr. Edwin Igbiti, represented by Mr. Adewale Kadri, Executive Director Technical, said “AIICO Insurance Plc. is very happy to collaborate with Ikoyi Club 1938 for the third year running. He also said the sponsorship aligns with AIICO’s vision to encourage a healthy lifestyle and wellness through sports.â€
The Games Captain, Tennis Section of Ikoyi Club 1938, Akeem Mustafa stated that “Tennis section was happy with the collaboration with AIICO Insurance Plc. which is a leading Insurance Company in Nigeria for the third year runningâ€. He encouraged the company to make the “sponsorship even bigger next yearâ€.
He further stated that “the tennis championship promotes inclusiveness amongst members as most participants will be rewarded with exciting prizes and trophiesâ€.
