Star Lager Thrills Football Fans In Abuja with Live EPL Games

Foremost beer brand, Star Lager Beer thrilled hundreds of football fans in Abuja as it hosted them to what is arguably the largest football-viewing set up in Nigeria.

The centre tagged the Star Fan Park was set up at the Dreams Active Recreation Park in Wuse II and saw over 1000 football fans gather to watch the Arsenal vs Manchester City and the Chelsea vs Manchester United games on Sunday the 5th of November, 2017.

The much-anticipated games were screened live at the Star Fan Park making it the sixth time Star Lager Beer will host football fans to its Star Fan Park as the beer brand has been to cities like Jos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Ibadan and Lagos to delight football fans with live viewing of the Nigeria Professional Football League matches.

Star Lager Beer was introduced into the Nigerian market on June 2, 1949 as the first indigenously brewed beer in a market that was dominated exclusively by imported brands. The beer brand is largely responsible for the growth of the Nigerian indigenous beer industry as its success story has influenced the introduction of other successful brands.

Star is wholly indigenous and synonymous with Nigeria and football. It has a long history of supporting consumers’ passion in football and has continued to create premium experiences for fans across the country on match days.

In addition to the Star Fan Park, Star Lager Beer is credited with massive and highly successful consumer activation programmes like the Star Super Fans Show, Star Coaching Clinic etc. The brand is also partner to the local league, NPFL and seven of the biggest European clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, PSG, Juventus and Arsenal.

More than the ‘Nigerianess’ of the brand, Star’s attributes are perfect for the sport and just as important, the fans of football in Nigeria.
