High Expectations as Nigeria Participates in Global Beauty Fair

The Nigerian beauty market is in for a financial turnaround as it prepares for the 22nd edition of Beautyworld Middle East, holding in Dubai.

The  programme, said to be the largest international trade fair for beauty products, hair, fragrances and wellbeing in the Middle East as well as  one of the top three exhibitions in the globe, provides a platform for Nigeria to tap into the prospect of the thriving $445 billion Beauty Sector.

As part of preparations for the May 2018 programme,  the promoter of the fair in the country who is also the Chief Executive Officer of Exhibition and Trade Fair Limited, Omonigho Itoya, stated that plans had been concluded to host a road show in order to  raise the awareness level of a  programme that promised to be rewarding.

Continuing, Itoya said that the roadshow which had been planned for November 23rd in Lagos would have top executives from Dubai, UAE and Nigeria in attendance and would also avail operators with useful information about the activity.

She further stressed the need for government to look in the direction of the sector to grow the economy.

 “Nigeria and the rest of Africa have huge potential to harness in the beauty industry and Beautyworld Middle East is one of the best platforms we can use to grow our local industry. So I expect that stakeholders in the sector will do everything possible to explore the opportunities offered by the event,” Itoya said.

According to her, more than   41,000 visitors, and 1,568 exhibitors from across 56 countries would be present at the fair that would deliver attractive opportunities, incredible insights, and a fascinating glimpse into the future of the beauty and wellness industry.

The show’s influence has spread not only across the Middle East and Africa and the Indian subcontinent, but has gone well beyond, offering thousands of influential trade buyers latest beauty trends and exciting new opportunities.
