All For Tolani Otedola

We all know them to be very busy but when they have to honour one of their own, they are always willing to sacrifice all other things. Such was the case, last Friday, when business moguls and celebrities  gathered for beautiful  Tolani, first daughter of billionaire oil magnate, Femi Otedola, who had a date with history.

The Terra Kulture on Tiamiyu Savage Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, venue of the classy event, came alive, as beautiful Tolani showed her grand entry into the showbiz world.

She wowed with her stagecraft on that beautiful evening. Her velvet voice tugged at the heartstrings of many of the guests who described her as a potential star. Besides, she did not leave anyone in doubt that her romance with music is eternal.

Like her younger sibling, Florence Ifeoluwa, a.k.a DJ Cuppy, Tolani, to put it mildly, is a bundle of talents. This music genius keeps tendering to her vision, which is like a pleasant surprise of sorts to her family, friends and associates of her billionaire father and Forte Oil boss.

While the event lasted, there was a general agreement that her father had scored a resounding plus in fatherhood. How?  Even as he keeps making giant strides in business, he still cherishes family values. Very liberal minded, he allows his daughters to choose their paths in life.

Today, Wunmi is literally having a sizzling romance with soul  music.  The “Don’t Break My Heart” crooner went into music after bagging a degree  in Psychology and Philosophy from the St. Andrews University and a master’s in Music from the  Vocal Tech, United Kingdom.

Also, Temi, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, is a delight on the turntable. Her dexterity has earned her  accolades as well as popularity on the Africa continent.

Like her sisters,  Temi is also making her father proud.  A fashion enthusiast, she owns JTO, a fashion blog, where she  expresses her  fashion, art and photography adventures. In this, she shares the same passion  with  her father whose  abiding love for arts could be seen on his late father,  Chief Michael Otedola’s Impact Press located on Randle Avenue, Lagos

Though the event has come and gone,  it will be the talk of town for a long time,  especially as the respected businessman has succeeded in passing a message across that the pursuit of  legitimate wealth,  which is desirable,  should not take the place of  family value in a man’s life.

In attendance at the event were Aliko Dangote, THISDAY Publisher, Nduka Obaigbena, Samad Rabiu, Tayo Ayeni, Bola Shagaya, Tunji Olowolafe, Donald Duke, Mutiu Sunmonu, Niyi Adebayo, Mo Abudu, Aig Imoukhuede, Herbert Wigwe, Ladi Balogun, Gbenga Oyebode, Muyiwa Bakare, Aremo Segun Oniru, Segun Sebanjo, Biola Akinola, Sam Iwuajoku, Dapo Balogun, Ijeoma Nwogwugwu and many others.
