Deji Adeleke’s song of Lamentation

Without a doubt, these are not the best of times for Chief Deji Adeleke, a billionaire businessman and founder of the Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State, who has been troubled by some happenings around him lately.

A few months ago, the Chairman of Pacific Group lost his brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, to the cold hands of death. Though his other brother, Demola, has been elected to occupy the seat left vacant by the deceased in the National Assembly, the wound in his heart has reportedly not healed.

While he continues to nurse the wound, his son, David, aka Davido, recently ran a knife through the wound by his alleged act of indiscipline.  The billionaire is said to be gravely worried that his son, seems to have done violence to the agreement he reached with him, when he set out to embark on his music career.

It was learnt that Davido had received the blessing of his father after he assured him that he would shun the company of bad friends, alcohol, drugs, women and all other vices that could possibly ruin his life and career.

But his fears for Davido’s life have heightened, following the recent controversy generated by the death of his friends Tagbo, who died after alleged excessive intake of alcohol, and DJ Olu – and subsequent invitation by the police in a case of alleged manslaughter.
