The burial arrangements of a retired Supreme Court judge, Justice Paul Nwokedi, who died on September 3, has been released.
According to programme of activities obtained by THISDAY from the family yesterday, on Wednesday, October 25, at 12p.m., a Special Court Session of the Supreme Court of Nigeria will be held in his honour. This will be followed by a Joint Special Session of the High Courts of Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu States on Tuesday, October 31 by 10a.m.
That same Tuesday, by 5p.m, a service of songs will take place at the late Justice’s residence at Ila Abakiliki Lane G.R.A Enugu, and will be followed by another service of songs and vigil mass at his home in Anambra on Thursday, November 2.
On Friday, November 3, a Requiem Mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Church will be held for Justice Nwokedi, before he is intered at his Uthoko Compound III residence in Akwa, Anambra. A cultural funeral celebration will hold the next day in Akwa, before the burial festivities is brought to a close by a Family Thanksgiving Mass at St. Paul’s Catho;ic Church, Achalla.
