Buhari Leaves for Niger Republic Today

President Muhammadu Buhari will today leave Abuja for Niamey, the Republic of Niger capital, to participate in a meeting on common currency for the West African sub-region.

A statement by his media aide, Mr. Femi Adesina, listed member countries of the ECOWAS Task Force on Common Currency as Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana and Niger.

It added that the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, would also join the president at the meeting.

The president is expected to return to Abuja later today after the meeting.
